For this months installment we have brought in a few local blokes that are ready to make you move in ways your mother warned you about. Serving up tasty techno and sonic debauchery everywhere they go!
First up we have BRENT NURO
A cagey veteran of the midwest who is huge part of the KC scene. Stepping out of the house that Jack built, Mr. Nuro is one of the founding members of KCTDC and head of the Broklyn Squad. He has graced stages across the midwest as part of the group’s Doctor’s Orders, Jack & Jill, and Shenanigans. Having hosted several successful club nights in Kansas City over the past 7 years, most noteably his two year residency at The Point hosting Brain Scan, he has gathered the ammunition to move dance floor with bass heavy techno and disco filled house. A fast rising talent who is tearing up dancefloors everywhere he goes.
This KCTDC newcomer brings to the group a global ear influenced by a 14-year immersion in the EDM culture. Todd’s music is currently fueled by tapping into the vein that runs between Berlin and Detroit, blurring the lines between deep, minimal tech, tech house and techno. Taking hints from his formal training as an architect, he incorporates elements of structure, rhythm, repetition and harmonies both light and dark into his work. Chaos and madness become order and meaning.And of course your faithful resident crew:
